Miracles and a camp out

Aloha! We had an amazing week. Lots of miracles. So one of the aunties in our Tongan ward has been working really hard on finding us people to teach! And each month we've been fasting and doing lots of things with the members to find new investigators. Well this Sunday She brought 4 of her family members who are all ready to take the lessons and want to be baptized. It was crazy! And also one of the investigators we've been working with for awhile finally came to church. So in our gospel principles class it was just our investigators so we brought some YSA members and RM's to come and help us teach them. It was great! But the end of the day we set all of them with baptismal dates and we have a new lesson with them this Tuesday. Awesome miracle to end this transfer. Now I'm just praying I don't leave haha. But I know he has a greater plan for me so I'll go where he wants me to go! 

Elder Fakahau is doing great. We had a ward camp this week as well, so we got permission to go! We couldn't sleep over of course but just stop by and talk with the members. Elder Fakahau met a couple people from his village and an old friend he hasn't seen in a long time! He was super happy about that. To end the ward camp we had a missionary fireside that we spoke at. It was really good. But all in all we had a amazing week!!

Working with the Tongan Ward

We had a really good week! Our Tongan ward loves Elder Fakahau! They have really wanted a Tongan speaker for a long time. So our ward trust just shot up this week. It was great! So to help elder Fakahau with teaching I've been having him each day for personal; study take 10-15 minutes studying one of the lessons for the week. This week he did the restoration! So each day he would study, and then for companionship study I will rollplay with him to help him to teach what he learned from personal study each day. By the end of the week he was doing really good at teaching the restoration! So we're going to continue to do this for all the lessons. Overall it was a really good week. We had a really great week! We are making progress in our Tongan ward. We were visiting our part member list and came across the name of a girl named Cierra who is a recent convert in a part member family, the only one who is not a member is her other sister Celena! When we went to go teach them Celena listened in on the lesson and was curious, so we talked to her for a bit and she said she will come to church with Cierra this week and we can teach her! So fingers crossed that she'll come. We also committed Cierra's younger brothers "who are in love with us" to remind her everyday to come to church hahaha! All day on Sunday the boys just wanted to stay with us and learn more about Jesus, so we took them with us to our gospel principles class and they helped us teach some less active members and investigators! Surprisingly enough, having them there with their great spirits actually really helped the lessons! When the less active members heard little kids answering questions about Jesus and the restoration they really liked it! So we got two little missionaries in our hands now haha! Let's hope they bring Celena to church.

In our other ward the work is still going good. We have a lot of investigators who are young and the hold back is still the fathers. We've made a lot of progress! They are allowing us to come and teach them, now we're helping them to come to church! As soon as we can get them coming weekly they can all be baptized!

Elder Fakahau is doing really good, this week we talked about how serving a mission helps those we love at home. I told him if he wants to help  his family, a friend, or someone else who is close to him, to work harder and be even more obedient, because as we serve with all our hearts the Lord will watch over our families while we're gone. Because the gospel DOES bless families :) He's been a little fireball ever since our conversation, haha! He's helping motivate me even more now! It's great. 

Also I was asked to give another talk on Sunday haha! At least this time I had a little more time to prepare! It was about missionary work and service. But I love you guys and hope you have a great week!! Elder Collings
